白田村是河源市源城区源南镇南部的行政村，处在高新区和明珠工业区之间。村名的由来是旧时当地常年少雨，田里全靠天落水，久旱时田面晒成白色。村内有京九铁路、粤赣高速公路和205国道经过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设白田大队，隶河源县东埔公社；1983年改称白田乡；1987年设村委会，归东埔镇管；1990年改管理区；1997年随东埔镇撤销划归源南镇；1999年撤管理区、复设村委会，延续至今。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村域9平方公里，其中山林一万亩上下；耕地2112.7亩，水田占大头，旱地只有500亩。户籍716户、3427人，党员76名，分在新杨、白田、大塘埔、七星岗、铁炉塘、下坝六个小组里。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，村级集体一年收入25万元；村民人均年收入为12318元。[1]长深高速公路的城南出入口设在村内。[2]

荣誉[edit]

河源市文明委在2021年1月授予白田村“2020年度河源市文明村”；到2023年4月，广东省公布的2022年乡村治理示范村创建单位里也有它。[1]源城区政府网站称，白田村与源南镇一同被认定为省级典型村镇。[3]
