双下村是河源市源城区源南镇西北部的行政村，面积17.5平方公里，在桂山脚下、新丰江下游，村名即由这一方位而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
双下乡最早设于1952年，1958年变为双下大队，1983年又称乡。1988年起有村委会，归东埔镇；1990年改作管理区；1997年并入源南镇辖区；1999年管理区撤销、村委会重设，沿用到今天。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
村东接205国道和老城区，南接迎客大道与明珠工业区，西临粤赣高速城南出口和高新区项目用地，北靠新丰江。下辖7个村民小组，4650人，党员99人。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内的邝妃墓属古墓葬，被公布为区一级（县级）文物保护单位，划定保护范围9万平方米，即墓体外缘四面各外延50米。[1]博雅地名网的镇情说明还提到双下的万年基桥、潭公爷庙和阿婆庙；源城区政府网站把双下古村落列为待深度开发的旅游资源。[2][3]
荣誉与人物[edit]
2026年3月，该村入选广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇。[1]村民廖耀宪（1954年生）1988年后从种1亩木瓜起步，发展成40亩综合果园的种植大户。[2]
