历史沿革[edit]
1958年，墩头乡的居民从回龙区迁到现址，沿用旧名成立墩头大队；1983年改墩头乡；1988年设村委会，归东埔镇；1990年改管理区；1997年划归源南镇；1999年重设村委会，延续至今。[1]
人口[edit]
村分塘岭、到洞、中心、田心、中青、下围6个村民小组，总人口约3300人，党员85人。[1]
荣誉与人物[edit]
2019年9月，村列入广东省2018年“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单。[1]村支书兼村委主任何启明（1952年生）于1990年带头开辟30亩果园，种荔枝、石峡龙眼和柑橘，起到示范作用。[1]
