东埔村是河源市源城区东埔街道的行政村，在东江与新丰江之间。清代这一带属大州都东埔约，在县城东面，隔江相望，距县城约1千米，村名与街道名同出于此。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

东埔大队成立于1958年，1975年从中分出高莲大队，到1984年二者重新合在一起，改称东埔乡。之后建制的变化是：村委会（1987年）、管理区（1990年）、再回到村委会（1999年），一直沿用。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村域约3.7平方千米，东临东江，南濒新丰江，西邻太阳升村，北接高塘村。村小组共5个，名为渡头、学前坝、群丰、莲塘岭和高岭顶；本地村民1180户，合计6301人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

东埔村2019年9月上了「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单，同年10月又入选「2019年广东省卫生村」。[1]
