1952年归金海乡，属十四区（乌坎区）；1972年设蕉园大队，隶金厢公社；1983年改称蕉园乡，属金厢区；1987年为村委会；1994年称管理区；1999年复称村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
