新河村在行政上归广东省汕尾市陆丰市南塘镇管辖，是镇内24个行政村委会之一[1]。2026年1月，名列「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

新河村是较晚设立的村：1994年从苑西管理区划出，设新河管理区，1999年改称村委会，名称沿用至今。苑西村的沿革记载，划出的是新响溪、河沟尾、八厝、新德四个自然村。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载的村情，新河村辖四个自然村，共368户、2780人，耕地共1780亩，包括水田1500亩和旱地280亩，另有山坡地3800多亩，该页称其为纯农业地区[1]。
