福新村在东坑镇北面，由6个村民小组组成。[1] 它在2019年10月被列入广东省卫生村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

福新早先写作“复新”：1984年3月大队撤销，改由复新乡政府管辖，两年后成为复新村民委员会；1990年起写作福新管理区，1999年改名福新村民委员会，一直沿用。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

辖区4.76平方千米，耕地48.7公顷，382户1983人，种果树约两千亩；2009年全村收入1340万元，人均纯收入4039元。[1] 村里鼓励种青梅和油茶。[1]
