河北村在河田镇北部，是城乡结合部，也是汕尾市生态文明村。2020年11月，它获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号。[1] 村里的新时代文明实践站，与布金村的一起被定为省级示范站点。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年以前，河北、宝山、宝金同属河北乡；1964年到1974年河北单设大队，1978年复称河北乡。其后乡政府（1984年3月）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1990年）、村民委员会（1999年）依次相承。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村东接宝山村，西临螺河东岸，北到宝金村，南与城北社区相邻。辖区5.6平方千米，山地5570亩（生态公益林占3780亩），耕地650亩；村情页另说有生态公益林区约2.52平方千米、基本农田保护区1.7平方千米。下辖土地前、布屋、石禾町、下坝、兴田、麻竹头、上下楼7个自然村；户籍790户4355人，常住9335人。[2][1]

文化[edit]

石禾町村的天神爷庙会于2010年列入县级非物质文化遗产。每年三次祭拜，分别称“许福”“暖福”和“还福”，祭台设在村中竹庭公祠门口，据介绍参加者已涉及近百个姓氏。[3]
