名称与沿革[edit]
因村庄坐落在乳江河北岸，得名河北。[1]新中国成立初设河北乡，1958年改称河北大队，1983年为河北乡政府，1986年起为村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，此后未变。[1]
经济[edit]
村情材料记载，全村常住人口999人，均为农业人口，耕地26亩；其中的经济数据为2009年，农村经济总收入682万元，人均纯收入4655元。[1]村里利用靠近县城的条件发展餐饮、娱乐等第三产业，据称经济发展较快，收入在全县各村委中居前列。[1]
