笏口村在海丰县附城镇，地处偏远低洼地区，下辖笏口、深田、前溪、桥头、投围5个自然村，1985年设管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]

户籍452户2461人，常住450人，有陈、唐、张、黄、谢、李、罗7个姓氏。笏口为主村，全是陈姓，肇基祖为邬氏妈，在此定居约六百年，俗语说“海丰人姓陈，无邬不成陈”。[1]

文化[edit]

笏口村小乡有一支约两百多年前成立的白额青狮队，一百多年前改为舞象，现仍有表演，多次参加县民间艺术演出；大乡原有的戏曲活动，新中国成立后改成了舞醒狮。[1]

经济[edit]

田地低洼，只种水稻和蔬菜，村委年收入不足万元；近年集资修硬底路5千米。[1]
