村委材料载，户籍1255户6800人，常住约4700人，共12个姓：洪、黄、陈、郭、黎、张、刘、范、杨、吕、邱、谢。村民以种番茄、蔬菜为主，少数种粮，村内另有鱼池和鸡鸭场。[1]

公益[edit]

乌石张村的张斗州在1983年自香港返乡，出资修排污沟和道路、建祠堂、买公共汽车；东格笏村的郭乙曲捐建水泥路、路灯并支持荣山学校扩建。[1]
