湖仔村在汕尾市海丰县大湖镇东部，濒临碣石湾，隔河与陆丰市上英镇相望；全村是一个半岛，下辖十个自然村，村委会设在盐町村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
县政府网站称，湖仔大乡明正德五年（1510年）立基，后来扩展到另外十个村；村区像海河之间的小绿洲，故名湖仔。[1]博雅地名网则记为清乾隆年间陆丰下英人迁来建村，此后1950年归六区大湖乡，1965年成为大湖公社下的湖仔大队，1984年改乡，1987年改设村委会，1998年复设村委会，沿用至今。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
全村718户、3500多人，分16个村民小组，耕地1300多亩，养殖面积1800多亩。[1]博雅地名网记养殖面积为1200多亩，外出居住者2700多人。[2]2021年12月获广东省卫生村称号。[2]
