历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网载，康熙戊午年（十七年，1678年）陆丰下英施姓人来此立“山脚寮村”。1982年设山脚大队，1984年改山脚乡，1987年为村委会，1989年称管理区办事处，1998年恢复村委会至今。[2]
地理与经济[edit]
村落由南向北沿公路成片分布，有防护林2760亩，海滩洁净，沙滩长约5公里。[1]耕地有2000亩，山林2700亩，另有260亩鱼塘；生计以种植为主，养殖次之。[1]秋花生是村里的特色，所产花生被归入“大湖花生”，当地成立了绿田花生合作社。[1]村里累计投入300多万元修环村公路、硬化主干道并改造自来水管网。[1]
荣誉[edit]
省爱卫会在2020年和2021年的12月先后两次授予省卫生村称号；2023年4月，该村又进入省乡村治理示范村（2022年度）的创建名单。[2]
