水踏村在梅陇镇东部、与联安镇交界，紧靠镇区，面积约2.7平方千米，2010年统计人口为2341人，以农业为主。[1] 官方名单共列6个自然村，即港口、梁厝、许厝、郑厝、新寮、后寮。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，水踏村建于明万历年间。1950年隶梅陇区公所，1958年4月划入梅南乡，当年9月进梅陇人民公社；1984年1月单设水踏乡，1987年起设村委会，1998年恢复村委会。[1]

风貌提升[edit]

2024年，由广东建工控股集团援建的风貌提升项目在郑厝、许厝、梁厝等自然村完工，总投资1280万元，共改造282栋房屋，拆除了46栋，修复227栋。[3] 2026年的报道称，改造后游客平均增加40%，一位乡贤投资108万元把闲置校舍改成电商直播基地。[4]

荣誉[edit]

水踏村在2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单中；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
