东家亚村在梅陇镇东南部，由5个自然村组成，据博雅地名网有532户、2588人，耕地1300亩，以种水稻为主，耕地低洼，常受暴雨洪水影响。[1] 官方名单共列5个自然村，即新和、棠池、后港、前港、东家亚。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明弘治年间，黄羌的罗、钟两姓和吉康都北溪的朱姓人建立东家亚村。1950年归梅东乡；1965年后港大队自梅东大队分设，驻地在东家亚村，1984年因此改称东家亚乡，1987年起设村委会，1998年恢复村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，东家亚村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
