月池村在梅陇镇圩以南约2公里，面积1.9平方千米，2010年总人口3186人，产稻谷、莲藕、荷兰豆。[1] 官方名单共列9个自然村，即港尾新厝、港尾向南、陈家、直界、港尾胡、港尾向东、新乡、月池、新厝林。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明景泰年间，福建莆田县的徐姓人立月池村。1950年归第三区，1952年立月池乡，1958年成月池大队，1984年复称乡，1987年起设村委会，1998年恢复村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

月池村在2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单中；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
