东港村在梅陇镇区中路东侧、东港溪东岸，面积约1.8平方千米，2010年总人口1787人，产稻谷、莲藕、荷兰豆，兼有浅海捕捞。[1] 官方名单共列4个自然村，即陈厝村、尾村、中村、头村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子明景泰年间始立，原名东涧，后依福佬话谐音写作东港。1950年归第三区梅陇梅东乡，1952年自立为东港乡，1958年成东港大队，1987年起设村委会，1998年恢复村委会。[1]

红色历史[edit]

据2022年的报道，大革命时期，东港村在彭湃号召下成立东港乡农会和赤卫队，出了陈朝陛、陈伯继、陈朝回、陈席珍等为革命牺牲的人。[3] 2023年5月，村里获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
