石新村在梅州市兴宁市叶塘镇境内，是镇属的行政村。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，地多丘陵，朱坑河流经村中，人们用石块在河上砌了一座陂头，先叫石陂，后改为石新。[1]

1949年建国初为石新村农会，1950至1957年改称大队；1963年起设石新乡，至1986年；此后叫管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单于2019年9月公布，该村在列。[1]
