铁西村在三圳镇西部，处于蕉岭、平远两县之间的铁山嶂下，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村在铁山嶂脚下，又在蕉岭县西部，所以叫铁西。1949年之前叫铁山嶂下，次年起改称铁西村，隶徐溪乡；1958年成为三圳公社的铁西生产大队，1968年又成立铁西革命委员会。[1][2]

1983年东岭、台塘、铁西、福头、石陂五个大队合并为台塘乡；1987年称铁西村委会，1990年称管理区，1999年起复称村委会。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

8个村民小组，237户、842人，耕地1197亩，种花生、冬瓜，并发展养蜂。2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
