热柘镇在广东省梅州市平远县的东南部，东面隔着蕉岭县徐溪镇和梅县区石扇镇，西邻大柘镇，南接长田镇，北边是东石镇。[1]镇域面积百度百科记为104.84平方千米，博雅地名网记为约108平方千米；2019年末户籍人口12876人，镇政府设在柚树圩。[1][2]2020年6月时下辖8个行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

今热柘镇的前身是热水、小柘两处，旧时同属程乡县长田都。1564年（明嘉靖四十三年）长田都划入平远县，两处各设一堡，即热水堡和小柘堡；1683年（清康熙二十二年）都堡制取消，两堡改为热水乡、小柘乡。[3]民国十年（1921年），两乡合并，镇名取二者各一字而来。[2][3]

1949年后这里属平远县第四区；1956年称热柘乡，1958年并入大柘人民公社，1961年另设热柘人民公社。[3]公社在1983年11月撤销，改设热柘区公所；撤区建乡在1986年，1994年再升格为镇。[3]

圩镇旧称柚树圩，据博雅地名网所记，得名于当地出产柚子。[2]

热柘镇属亚热带季风气候。[1]博雅地名网转录的镇情材料称，从镇政府到206国道，要走一段约10公里的硬化公路。[2]

人口民族[edit]

同一份材料记，2003年底全镇13115人、3167户，农业人口占12437人。[2]2021年第七次全国人口普查时，博雅地名网列其人口在平远县各镇中居第6位。[2]

经济[edit]

百度百科记载，热柘镇2017年的生产总值为1.68亿元，增速5.9%；到2019年，镇上工业企业共16家，较大的综合商店和超市共8家。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

热水村的恩世居建于民国年间。梅州市人民政府在2016年6月29日把它列入第四批市级文物保护单位，在百度百科中属民国时期的近现代代表性建筑。[4]

博雅地名网还称镇内有革命老区的历史，并有热水温泉，把它列为平远的八处主要景点之一。[2]热水村名即来自村里原有的一处温泉。[5]
