名称由来[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村名寄托了先人希望子孙在此安居乐业、长久过上好日子的心愿。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地1949年建长生乡，1958年起改作大队，1983年又成为乡政府一级，1989年设管理区，到1999年才由村民委员会管理，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年2月，长生村获评「2022年度五华县文明村镇」；2023年4月，列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位名单」。[1]
