潭江镇是广东省梅州市丰顺县东北部的镇，在韩江中游，镇域面积271平方千米，下辖1个社区、18个行政村[1][2]。现镇由原潭江镇与潭山镇于2003年合并而成[3]；镇内凤坪村是梅州市唯一的畲族聚居村[2][5]。

历史沿革[edit]

镇名来自旧圩名潭澳：这里早先称潭澳圩，因圩镇濒临韩江而改称潭江[1]。明初这里是海阳县光德乡丰政都下的潭澳村。丰顺县设立以后，潭澳乡编入该县三图中的北胜社，时在乾隆三年，即1738年。入民国，其地划作第五区，沙田、小胜两乡在它的辖下[3]。

1958年9月改为潭江公社，同年12月丰顺县被撤销，公社划归大埔县；1961年丰顺县恢复，公社随之回属。1962年，小胜、沙田两地从中分出另立公社。1978年，官上、官溪、官下、然新、银溪、社且、箭竹、凤坪共8个村被分出去，另立潭山公社。潭江于1983年改为区，次年建镇；后来潭山也成了镇，直到2003年7月才并回潭江，合并日为当月15日[3]。

地理环境[edit]

潭江镇位于县境东北部，韩江自北向南穿过全镇，圩镇沿江而建[2]。东面是饶平县新塘镇，东南与潮安区凤凰镇相邻，北面连着大埔县的洲瑞、高陂、桃源三镇[2]；百度百科另记西面以砂田镇为界，东南与留隍镇相邻[4]。县道027线和省道227线贯穿镇境，到梅州市区68公里，到县城74公里[2]。镇域面积271平方千米[2]，森林覆盖率约80%，土壤含硒[2]。

人口民族[edit]

第七次人口普查（2020年）统计的潭江镇人口是1.53万，丰顺全县各乡镇按人口排序居第9[1]；百度百科记2018年末户籍人口31721人[4]，镇概况则写总人口约3.01万人[2]。镇内的凤坪村是梅州市唯一的畲族聚居村，镇因此成为全市唯一有畲族聚居的乡镇[2][5]。

茶叶、红陶、红薯是镇的主导产业，当地合称潭江“三宝”[2]。省农业农村厅在2020年8月评出首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，潭江镇有6个村以茶叶入选，即官上、官溪、社且、银溪、箭竹、凤坪[5][6][7][8][9][10]。据百度百科，2019年镇里的财政拨款（一般公共预算口径）收入是2781.87万元，较2018年多出767.68万元[4]。

荣誉[edit]

镇自己的概况称它既是省里的教育强镇，也是梅州市的文明镇[2]。凤坪村则在2020年进入广东省首批「少数民族特色村寨」之列[2][5]。镇概况还记，概况说，大胜、官下两村各于2019年、2020年得到「全国乡村治理示范村」和「广东省乡村治理示范村」的称号[12]，大胜村在2022年又得「全国民主法治示范村」[2]；大胜村自己的页面给出的时间略有不同：2019年12月定为全国乡村治理示范村，2023年1月经司法部、民政部命名为「全国民主法治示范村（社区）」第九批[11]。
