历史沿革[edit]

村在埔寨镇西面，因而名埔西。[1]1961年它是埔寨公社的埔西大队，后经乡、管理区的更名，在1999年成为埔西村委会。[1]

人口经济[edit]

村辖2个村民小组，在册288户，人口1654人，总面积4平方公里，耕地746亩。[1]种水稻、青榄、龙眼、桔子，并养鸡、养鱼。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

2019年6月，埔西村被收入第五批中国传统村落名录；村内有明代建筑“蓝玉凤冈”，格局为九厅十八井。[2]2026年3月，村又成为广东省「百千万工程」第三批典型村镇。[1]
