碗瑶村是广东省梅州市大埔县湖寮镇下辖的行政村，位于湖寮镇北部。原称「碗窑」，因境内有瓷土、清初已烧制饭碗等日用陶瓷并建有碗窑而得名，后因「窑」「瑶」同音改称碗瑶。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代这里隶属氵恋洲都大河社的广林村，清代为氵恋洲都永兴甲广林村；民国属城区永兴乡；1952年为附城区碗瑶乡；1958年6月并入埔城镇，同年10月又成为埔城公社碗陶生产大队；此后1963年归茶阳公社，1974年归安乐公社；到1983年12月才划入湖寮区，名碗瑶乡；之后1986年冬立村委会，1988年为管理区，1998年成为村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

经济[edit]

全村分14个村民小组，在册328户、1200人，总面积10.64平方千米，耕地895亩（村情页，未注明年份）。种植水稻、毛竹和蜜柚，页面称上一年农村经济总收入578万元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，碗瑶村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
