下坜村是广东省梅州市大埔县湖寮镇下辖的行政村，位于湖寮镇北部。村名原写作「下沥」「下历」，2000年以后逐渐写成「下坜」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传古时湖寮一带是大湖，村落在湖的北缘；梅潭河水冲向龙潭角下游以西的河岸，冲积成一片潮泥地，村内又有一条小坑水流向坑下尾，因此叫作下坜。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据村情，宋末先民开始在此建村。明代为大埔县清远都湖寮社的下历村，清代归同仁社；民国十七年（1928年）为同仁区湖西乡；1949年属第五（湖寮）区虎北乡；1958年10月并入湖寮公社岭下生产大队，1961年独立设下沥生产大队；1983年12月称湖寮区下沥乡；1986年冬设湖寮镇下沥村委会，1988年改称管理区；1998年设村民委员会，2000年后「下沥」逐渐写作「下坜」。[2]

经济[edit]

全村分14个村民小组，在册476户、1420人，总面积9.17平方千米，耕地711亩（村情页，未注明年份）。种植水稻、蔬菜和蜜柚，页面称上一年农村经济总收入809万元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

下坜村（蜜柚）列入广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2019年9月，又入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
