茶山村是梅县区水车镇的客家古村落，距梅州城区约30公里，位于两山之间的峡谷地带，村名来自村里原有的一棵古油茶树。[1][4]村落始建于明代初年，现存34座传统民居，2010年入选第五批中国历史文化名村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村落肇始于明代初期，清末最为兴盛。[1]清代科举时期，村里有进士、贡生、监生以上功名者48人，至今保留16根楣杆石。[1]百度百科称村落在灯塔村境内；博雅地名网则把茶山村列为水车镇下辖的一个村，两处写法不同。[2][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的传统民居沿山脚呈带状排列，不占耕地。[4]其中绍德堂为黄氏祠堂，建于明嘉靖十五年（1536年），2019年4月被公布为「第九批广东省文物保护单位」。[5]萼辉楼建于清康熙四十二年（1703年），一说为乾隆二十三年（1758年）始建，是村里三座有300年以上历史的民居之一；创毅公祠、伯荣楼也属此列。[1][6]

茶山资政第于2015年2月列为第三批梅州市文物保护单位；大夫第、畅云楼、德崇楼于2017年3月公布为第五批梅州市文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉与保护[edit]

茶山村于2009年12月入选第二批广东省历史文化名镇名村，2010年7月入选第五批中国历史文化名村，2012年12月入选第一批中国传统村落名录。[3]2022年3月，村获得传统村落保护补助资金，开展传统建筑修复。[4]
