1953年设茶山乡，1958年改为生产大队，1983年复称乡，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年再称村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]

该村主要种植龙豆、南蕉、水稻；据博雅地名网，上一年全村农村经济总收入1233万元。[1]村里的特色收入来自龙豆和南蕉。[1]
