桃坪村是梅州市梅江区西阳镇所辖的一个行政村。村由桃子畲、油坪两个自然村合并而成；又有说法称，村名与当地种植油茶、制作茶油有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，桃坪大队成立，归梅县西阳公社管理；1960年白宫另置公社，该大队改隶白宫公社。1983年改称桃坪乡，隶梅县市白宫区；1986年设村民委员会，1989年易名桃坪管理区，归梅县市白宫镇；1998年再改称桃坪村委会，仍属白宫镇。2003年白宫镇并入西阳镇，该村随之划归西阳镇；2012年9月23日西阳镇自梅县改归梅江区管辖，该村亦属梅江区。[1]

  • 2019年9月，桃坪村名列2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
  • 桃坪村以茶叶为特色产业：2020年8月入选广东省首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，2021年10月又被认定为第十一批全国「一村一品」示范村镇。[1]
