莆田村是梅州市梅江区西阳镇所辖的一个行政村。土地改革时，黄坊、古田两村合并为莆田乡，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年体制下放时，莆田乡改为莆田大队，隶西阳公社。1983年改称莆田乡，隶梅县市西阳区；1986年设村民委员会，1989年易名莆田管理区，归梅县市西阳镇；1998年再改称莆田村委会。2003年白宫镇并入西阳镇，该村随之划归西阳镇；2012年9月23日起属梅江区。[1]
- 2026年1月，莆田村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
