惠东县港口海龟湾自然保护区是广东省惠州市惠东县统计上列为乡镇级的单位，保护区在稔平半岛南端的海湾岸滩，保护对象是海龟及其产卵繁殖地，1985年设立，1992年起为国家级自然保护区。[1][2]

百度百科称保护区在惠东县稔平半岛的一处海湾沿岸，属浅海、潮间带沙石滩与岩岸一类的湿地。[1]海龟湾又名九莲澳、九龙湾，在港口镇的大星山南麓，处于大亚湾与红海湾交汇的地方。[2]博雅地名网说，原来的港口镇地处稔平半岛最南端，西面对着大亚湾，2008年6月6日改设港口滨海旅游度假区，惠东县的区划中与巽寮度假区并列。[3]

设立与级别[edit]

据百度百科，保护区始建于1985年；1986年定为省级，1992年国务院批准升为国家级，2002年又被列入《国际重要湿地名录》。[2]另一条目记其设立时间为1985年6月，等级为国家级。[1]

面积[edit]

各条目的面积不一致：一条称保护区面积18平方千米，其中海域16平方千米，信息栏另写作800公顷；[1]另一条称陆地及海域合计1800公顷。[2]

保护对象[edit]

保护区主要保护海龟及其产卵繁殖地，受保护的有五种海龟：绿海龟、蠵龟、太平洋丽龟、玳瑁、棱皮龟。绿海龟成批上岸产卵的时间是每年的6月到10月。[1][2]百度百科称它是中国大陆唯一的绿海龟成批洄游产卵的场所，也是唯一的海龟自然保护区；[1]博雅地名网在介绍港口时也说，这里设有全国仅有的一处海龟保护区。[3]沿岸的海洋植物以马尾藻、石莼和赤藻为主。[1]

设施与研究[edit]

据百度百科，区内的设施有驯养海龟的中心、标本馆、放映科普影片的厅和沿海栈道。绿海龟的全人工繁育在2017年取得突破，之后繁育出的幼龟累计超过1.6万只，这项技术得过南粤林业科学技术一等奖。[2]
