吉隆社区是广东省惠州市惠东县吉隆镇的社区居民委员会，位于镇中心区，吉隆镇政府所在的吉隆圩一带，社区名即镇名的由来地[1]。2014年社区一分为三，现与吉圣、吉城两社区并立[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

清同治九年（1870年）前后，此地称吉隆小村，归和平约堡，由平政司巡检管理[2]。1950年起它先属吉隆乡，再属稔平区；1951年末，惠阳县第十七区的区府设在这里[2]。1957年编入东风社，1963年成为吉隆居民大队并归吉隆公社；1987年3月改称居委，2002年依粤民基〔2002〕5号文设社区居民委员会[2]。2014年9月，原社区一分为三，吉隆之名留给其中一个[2]。

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，旧时迁来的客籍人被当地人叫作“客仔”，这里的圩市曾称“客仔圩”；后有兴梅籍人在圩上开办兴隆会馆，议定从吉水约取“吉”、从会馆名取“隆”，合成吉隆，寓意生意兴隆、大吉大利[1]。
