历史沿革[edit]
汉塘的建置始于1951年的联村，次年成乡，之后编入燎原社、光辉营；1961年为汉塘大队，1984年复称乡[1]。村委会设于1987年，管理区的名称用于1989年至1999年，此后为村民委员会[1]。
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，村前的一块地像鱼塘，原叫“旱塘”；后来取翰林之意，改写作“翰塘”，再因谐音成了汉塘[1]。
荣誉[edit]
汉塘村列入2020年、2021年、2022年的淘宝村名单；2021年1月入选第七批广东省古村落；2022年10月，广东省农业农村厅认定其为沃柑专业村[1]。
