霞塱村隶属惠州市惠城区横沥镇。据博雅地名网，宋崇宁年间（1102年至1106年），村中一位姓蔡的人在朝为官，给村子起名霞塱。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年时属惠阳县，其后1958年为人民公社横沥管理区的霞塱大队，随后1961年为横沥镇人民公社，仍归惠阳县，此后1984年5月改称霞塱村委会。2021年12月，该村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
