历史沿革[edit]

村名的说法是：村庄在山岗以东，族人人丁兴旺，故称大东[1]。大东村民委员会设于1998年，前身有大东管理区（1987年）、大东乡（1983年11月，隶地豆区），最早是1958年的大东一大队[1]。

经济[edit]

博雅地名网记，全村430户，人口1723人，耕地2267亩，柑桔种植面积2569亩，从事玉石加工的人也较多；2018年，大东村入选「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」[1]。
