地名与沿革[edit]

大跃进时期，坚岗、升岗两个社合并，改名升平，取「歌舞升平、国泰民安」的寓意。[1]

概况[edit]

共12个村民小组，人口合计2570人，距县城25公里、离镇驻地14公里，地处丘陵。[1] 村集体经济来自引进的木材深加工厂和出租肥料仓库；农业上山地种柑桔，水田种贡柑、水稻和花生，另有果场养猪。[1] 2019年9月，升平村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局又将它列为2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位。[1]
