文岗村在怀集县连麦镇西南部，邻大庙、步岗、增石三村，在全镇各行政村中人口最多：4845人，分35个村民小组。[1][2]村名的来由是：成立高级社时，此地文姓居多，又在岗头上。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建制的变迁大致如下：高级社（1955年）、大队（1958年）、乡（1981年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年），至1998年成为村民委员会；高级社时期的名称为文岗。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

辖区合计10590亩，耕地2744亩，内含水田2010亩和旱地634亩，山林5242.5亩，村民与集体靠农林业取得收入。[1][2]2021年9月，文岗村（桃子）入选广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]

荣誉与村治[edit]

2020年12月，文岗村列入「2020年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2021年2月，被司法部、民政部列入「第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]村里建有法治教育实践基地，请律师挂村，协助修订村规民约、审核经济合同，还设有名为“和事小院”的场所，就地调解村民纠纷。[2]博雅地名网又记，该村是肇庆市新农村建设的示范样板村，并获广东省文化和旅游厅认定为「第二批广东省文化和旅游特色村」。[2]
