龙冲社区位于广东省肇庆市高要区大湾镇东部，面积约14平方千米，统辖9条自然村，即龙冲、冲里、迳口、佛仔、刘地、上岸、下岸、沙田园和兴隆9条自然村，分15个村民小组[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

龙冲原叫龙涌，1956年办龙涌高级社，其后先后隶属东风公社、大湾公社，称龙涌大队；1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年起称龙冲管理区。1986年以后，原写作「龙涌」的地名改写为「龙冲」，社区名由此而来；2013年撤管理区，改设居委会，沿用至今[1]。

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区有993户农户、4716人；耕地约千亩，山地4300多亩，鱼塘400多亩[1]。大湾镇政府和镇里的派出所、国土所、财政所、卫生院都设在龙冲，社区内的商贸有2个农贸市场、2家大型超市，以及200多户个体商户[1]。红木加工与销售也集中于此，红木家具展厅20多间，以红木制品为主业的企业近40家[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2022年8月，龙冲社区进入「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
