古西村是广东省肇庆市高要区大湾镇的行政村，傍县道南黄线，面积约4平方千米，含古西、古北、古南3条自然村和11个村民小组，人口3200多人[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，古西始建于元朝元统三年（1335年），旧称西围。1953年名古西乡；其后先后隶属东风公社、大湾公社，称古西大队；1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年重设村民委员会[1]。
经济[edit]
村里鱼塘2900多亩，大湾的麦溪鲤、麦溪鲩就养在村境内的塘中；另有2000多亩「高要农田示范区」，主要种高产水稻[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，古西村名列首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（麦溪鲤、麦溪鲩）；2022年10月，又被认定为2022年度的专业村（鸡蛋）[1]。
