锦衣村为茂名市信宜市洪冠镇所辖的行政村之一，在镇境东部。相传古时有一位立过不少功劳的锦衣卫来此隐居，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期是大樟区下的八堡乡，新中国成立初改为锦衣乡。1958年随大樟公社，辖内另有锦新乡；1963年起归洪冠公社，两处合为锦衣大队。1999年定为锦衣村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，全村辖53个村民小组，在册1180户、4300人，耕地1837亩。种植的作物有水稻、木薯、玉米、三华李，另以三华李作为特色产业。[1]
