坡岭社区在信宜市区西部[1]。当地说法是村民过去多聚居在一座小山坡上，山坡后来被削平，村名因此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地自1958年起为坡岭大队，其后至1983年称坡岭乡，再到1987年设村委会，又于1989年称管理区，2005年3月21日实行村改居，成立坡岭社区居民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，社区分22个村民小组，登记1015户，人口5075人，总面积约10平方千米，耕地1350亩；种水稻、香蕉、荔枝、龙眼，并养鸡养猪，其上一年农村经济总收入为4000万元[1]。

荣誉[edit]

坡岭社区于2021年12月被广东省爱卫会评为「2021年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
