主要经济作物为甘蔗、丰产林和香蕉，集体收入来自山头发包；该页记的上一年（未注明年份）全村农村经济收入合计1832万元。[1]村民改种香蕉、甘蔗，山头改种桉树和果树，并开挖鱼塘、兴建猪舍，周边山头一带办起了一批养猪场。

该页的沿革记述，由近及远是：1999年起沿称山华村民委员会；1989年称山华管理区办事处；1987年设山华村民委员会；1983年改为山华乡；1958年公社化时称山华大队。[1]
