鉴江街道是广东省茂名市化州市下辖的街道，位于鉴江东岸，处在化州市区的北部和北郊，下设1个社区和5个行政村。[1][2]街道由1993年设立的广东鉴江经济开发试验区演变而来，2007年改为现名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1993年2月，广东省人民政府批准成立广东鉴江经济开发试验区，隶属化州市，辖5个村委会和1个居委会。[3][4]2007年4月27日，试验区经茂名市人民政府批准改设为街道，并新设鉴东社区，大桥、白鸠垌两村和原属南盛街道的东方红、旺山、百室堂三村一并归入。[2][1]在此之前，这一带分属南盛街道与东山街道。[2]

街道名取自鉴江，也因辖区原为鉴江经济开发试验区而沿用「鉴江」二字。[2]

地理环境[edit]

街道地处鉴江东岸，鉴江与罗江在西缘汇合。四至为：东面茂名市茂南区公馆镇，南面东山街道，北面南盛街道，西面隔鉴江对河西街道，总面积38平方千米。[1]

经济[edit]

开发试验区规划的建设用地有10平方千米，划作行政、工业、商贸、住宅、文化五类功能区；207国道、广湛铁路和茂化一级公路穿过辖区。[3]区内企业以加工、建材、陶瓷、轻纺、羽绒、食品和饲料行业为主。[3]2003年工业总产值达7亿元，财政收入699.8万元。[3]据2011年的统计，街道的财政总收入为3119万元，农民人均纯收入为8030元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

位于白鸠垌村委会塘琴塘岭的颜淳墓是明永历年间的古墓，被公布为化州市第四批县级文物保护单位。[2]
