下墟社区是化州市河西街道的社区，社区驻解放路，位于化州老城区，居委会2003年起称下墟居委会，2017年改为社区居民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区在化州老城区，以南为下，所以叫下墟。[1]居委会起初排在河西第二，名河西第二居委会；2003年起叫下墟居委会，2017年起改为社区居民委员会。[1]

社区分7个居民小组，登记在册3602户、14418人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

下墟社区在2019年9月公布的名单中，被列为「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
