沙堤尾社区是化州市河西街道的社区，居民委员会驻民主路，在鉴江与罗江交汇处。居委会起初叫河西第一居委会，2003年改名，2017年改为社区居民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

名称的来历是：鉴江、罗江交汇处的河沙长期淤积成陆，后人在其上筑堤聚居，称作沙堤尾，居委会因此得名。[1]居委会起初的名字是河西第一居委会，之后改称沙堤尾居委会（2003年），再改为社区居民委员会（2017年）。[1]

社区下分5个居民小组，登记在册2483户、9932人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

沙堤尾社区在2019年9月公布的名单中，被列为「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
