平山铺村是高州市曹江镇的行政村[1]。

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网的说法是：此地原叫石狗平山，河湾处有一个石洞，水流冲击时发出类似狗叫的声音，传说水底有石狗，人们便在河湾旁的小山上建庙祭拜，庙叫平山庙，河叫平山河。后来省去“石狗”二字，简称平山；因与平山铺同名，且商铺聚集，才叫平山铺村[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1961年体制下放时设平山大队，1980年全国地名普查时改称平山铺大队，此后1983年改为乡、1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月获评2021年广东省卫生村。[1]
