博雅地名网记载，村旁过去有一口大水塘，起初叫水塘，后改称帅堂[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1961年体制下放，设帅堂大队，同年建帅堂人民公社；1963年，帅堂和曹江两处合并，设曹江公社，帅堂大队由它管辖；此后1983年改为乡、1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月入选2019年广东省卫生村名录；2025年3月命名为「第七届全国文明村镇」。[1]
