地名由来[edit]
该村在鉴江东岸，依山傍水。博雅地名网记载，村民由福建迁入广东，为纪念当年带队的人有先见之明，把村子叫作先觉村[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
土改期间成立先觉村；1961年体制下放后，从湖水管理区分出，成立先觉大队；此后1983年改为乡、1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2018年度）。[1]
