地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，因最早在此定居的是霍姓人家，故名霍村[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

土改期间归湖水乡，1961年体制下放后成立霍村大队，此后1983年改为乡、1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2018年度）；2021年12月获评2021年广东省卫生村；2026年3月入选「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1]
