据博雅地名网所载，此地起初以种莲为主，荷花盛开，叫荷村，后改写为贺村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1962年，石板公社的石村、贺村两个大队合并为贺村大队；1983年称贺村乡，1986年起称农村管理区，1999年设村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

贺村于2019年10月被收入「广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
