现名新光村民委员会，自1999年沿用；此前1986年称新光农村管理区，1983年称新光乡；1961年，新光大队与联营大队的里坡、竹径合并。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 新光村在2019年10月列入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
  • 2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单中有新光村。[1]
